Texas Ranger

by James Hyland

I’m a Texas Ranger, Texas lawman

I wear peacemakers, high up by my hands

My silver badge, that shines on me

Was a Mexican coin, From 1843

I’m a real quick draw, and I finish gun fights

I’ve got grooves in my teeth, From my corn cob pipe

I’m a Texas Ranger, Texas lawman

I’m a Texas Ranger, Down on the Rio Grande

I got a long mustache, a sombrero

Most of my gear, comes from Mexico

I got a horse named Coffee, She's thunder on the trail

When I'm on her with my rifle, We make the baddest men turn pale

I’m a Texas Ranger, Texas lawman

I’m a Texas Ranger, Down on the Rio Grande

You got your picture on a wanted sign

Guilty or not, now that thought never crossed my mind

Dead or alive, well I given you one last choice

I’ve got a tombstone maker, right next to the joint

I’m a Texas Ranger, Texas lawman

I’m a Texas Ranger, Down on the Rio Grande

I’m a Texas Ranger, Texas lawman

I’m a Texas Ranger, Down on the Rio Grande
